When it comes to being one savvy chic woman, it just doesn’t mean you only throw great parties, now how to decorate, and entertain. Nope. It also means you like to eat well, too. And by eat well we mean healthy, but still tasty, meals. We adore pasta (who doesn’t?) however we do try to limit how many pasta dishes we make and when we do cook with it we always try use the low carb, whole grain, or protein added variety. However, if you’re saying goodbye to carbs, you can switch out the angel hair pasta in this dish with spaghetti squash. We just love this dish of Fabulous Turkey Pasta that we had to share it with all of you! We enjoy making it for our family as well as for an evening with friends.
1 red onion
1 yellow bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 bunch of chopped kale
Sun dried tomatoes
3 Tablespoons of chopped garlic
1/4 cup of cooking white wine
1 pack of either turkey spicy sausage or sweet sausage
1 pack of angel hair pasta.
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Crushed red pepper flakes (optional if your using turkey spicy sausage)
Chopped Basil (optional if your using sweet turkey sausage)
Chop all vegetables and set aside.
Brown ground turkey with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of garlic. When turkey is browned remove from skillet and set aside.
Boil water for angel hair pasta
In the same skillet add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté garlic, onion, squash, zucchini and chopped peppers.
Return the turkey to the same skillet. Add kale, sun dried tomatoes. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes add wine and angel hair pasta. Mix together and remove from heat add parmesan and serve.
Garnish with chopped basil with parmesan if using sweet basil or add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes if using spicy sausage when cooking vegetables.
